Tamo, Lewis, and Dave are currently working on reducing the carbon footprint of their winter by hiking and using splitboards to access the mountains, and by fuelling their travels on used cooking oil. Within the first two weeks of this project, they scored pow in the backcountry of Mt. Baker, Manning Park, Apex, Cain and Nelson, and surfed at Westport, Cape Scott, Sombrio and La Push in Washington. Check out Lewis Muirhead's blog a snowboard season without fossil fuels to find out where they are now and learn more about how they are making their reduced carbon winter a reality. In addition Tamo has been doing High School and Elementary School presentations to showcase sustainable transportation. Feel free to contact us if you'd like information about how you can minimize your emissions while maximizing your shred time.
